Great salary hike and remote work, but job security issues - Team Lead EPAM Systems Employee Review

Pros

Joining bonus, good salary hike on switch in my case i got 100% hike, may be because my previous salary was less. Opportunities to work on latest and different tech stack. Remote work is one of the biggest perk. These days , company focus is to make AI ready employees which is a good learning opportunity for employees and free Claude courses and certifications.

Cons

No job security, lay offs are being done silently. If you are not AI ready then you are on the firing list. Interviews are lengthy. Favourites or old employees are safe. Functional testing practice has most layoffs these days. Either upskill to automation and AI or ready to get warnings from HR & put presaure for resign. People are getting laid off even after coming on bench just 2 weeks ago.

Pros

Amazing team—very collaborative, supportive, and welcoming from day one. Strong leadership, my manager is incredibly supportive and gives you autonomy to take ownership and bring new ideas forward. There is a well-structured environment—processes are clear, well explained and continuously improving. Great opportunities to learn; many trainings and tools available to support professional growth. People genuinely care about each other and create a positive work environment.
