I applied through other source. I interviewed at Embark Studios (Stockholm, Stockholm)
Interview
Easily one of the least professional interview processes I have ever been through. Made to jump through hoops, last minute calls, span weeks, no updates unless I prompted (and then it was as if they remembered suddenly) Told I would get an offer on paper within a few weeks...Then was ghosted and after chasing people I was informed about a 'review' process I was never made aware of.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Studios (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Mar 2025
Interview
The recruitment process started with an art test that lasted 3 to 5 days. Overall, it was an alright test, but it still took several days to complete just to get an interview, and it was an unpaid labor. During the interview, I spoke with the recruiter and (I think) the Lead Character Artist. They really liked my work and were impressed with my experience. In fact, she thought I had at least two years of professional experience, even though I graduated less than a year ago.
She did mention that the studio often had crunch periods and that the work could feel very fast-paced and repetitive, almost like working on a production line. I told her that I wasn’t yet sure if moving to Stockholm was possible or how I would organize it, but she reassured me that we’d have the chance to discuss it more in detail later in the recruitment process.
In the end, the answer was that they were looking for someone more experienced. The funny part is that she thought I already had that level of experience, so in a way I proved I was qualified.

Interview
Initial zoom meeting where we got to talk a bit and get to know more about eachother and the job. I then got invited to perform a 1 week art test which I failed in. Got feedback on it afterwards and thanked for their time.
